More Momento Mori

Mary M. Mazziotti is an American visual artist whose practice includes textiles and painting with a special interest in contemporary memento mori. She makes memento mori in a variety of media from embroidered textiles to full-sized billboards. Her work has been exhibited widely in galleries and museums including The Carnegie Museum of Art, The Andy Warhol Museum, The Urban Institute for Contemporary Art and the Rundetaarne in Copenhagen.

“Mazziotti’s work, with its sheer zest and wit and scope, proves that pleasure can be an occasion for thought.”  — Harry Schwalb
